The National have shared a new song from their upcoming album. The first two pages of Frankenstein. It’s called the “New Order T-Shirt,” and to coincide with the song’s release, The National teamed up with New Order to release a limited-edition T-shirt. “To me, the line ‘I keep what I can of you’ means something about everyone I’ve ever known or loved,” Aaron Dessner of the National said in a statement. “There’s a simplicity to ‘New Order T-Shirt’ that reminds me of our previous records, but with all the maturity and experience we have now. It feels like a really important song for the future of our band.”
The first two pages of Frankenstein is out April 28 via 4AD. Features contributions from Taylor Swift, Sufjan Stevens, and Phoebe Bridgers. The band added tour dates in London, Denver, Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington, DC Find The National’s updated itinerary below.
