Tame Impala have shared a new song written for the upcoming movie Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The track is called “Wings of Time” and you can listen to it below.
“That they ask me to make a track for him. D&D The soundtrack seemed like an unmissable opportunity to indulge my love of fantasy prog rock,” Tame Impala mastermind Kevin Parker said in a press release. He continued:
The song comes less than 24 hours after Parker revealed that she broke her hip while running a half marathon. Parker promised that all upcoming Tame Impala shows will go ahead as planned. “I’m not going to give up on you guys,” he wrote.
Parker has lately contributed to two other movie soundtracks; she joined Diana Ross for her Minions: The Origin of Gru song “Turn Up the Sunshine”, and remixed Elvis Presley’s “Edge of Reality” for Baz Luhrmann Elvis biographical film
Also last year, Tame Impala shared a single called “The Boat I Row” which was a previously unreleased song from their collection of the slow race B-sides and remixes. the slow race arrived in 2020.
Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits theaters March 31 and stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman and Daisy Head. The film centers on a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers on a perilous quest to recover a lost relic.
