Today, the Pixies announced that American rock band Modest Mouse will join them on the third and final leg of their North American tour in 2023. Modest Mouse just wrapped up the 25th anniversary tour of their hit LP, The lonely and crowded westand will enjoy a co-starring spot throughout their travels.
The Pixies, comprised of Black Francis (guitar), Joey Santiago (lead guitar), David Lovering (drums) and Paz Lenchantin (bass), will also host Cat Power as a special guest along with Modest Mouse during the final series of shows beginning in the Stony Pony Summerstage in Asbury Park, New Jersey on August 20.
The series of summer shows will see the acclaimed groups stop at venues including New York’s Pier 17, North Adams, Massachusetts’ MASS MoCA, Chicago’s Salt Shed, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, Vancouver’s Doug Mitchell Center and more. . The summer tour will conclude at Gallagher Square in San Diego on September 16, with more shows to be announced soon.
