In a new episode of rocking in the morning, Madlib sat down for a rare broadcast interview. He revealed at one point that he is working on a new music album with the late Mac Miller, noting that he has the estate’s blessing for the album’s release. He mentioned the album years ago after Miller’s death, but told Sway that he is now “finishing” it. Miller’s estate offered no comment at this time. Watch Madlib talk about the new album below.
He also told Sway that he’s working on a new Erykah Badu album. In 2021, Madlib released the album ancestors of sound in collaboration with Four Tet. More recently, he has worked on tracks by Maxo, Open Mike Eagle, Fly Anakin, Black Star, Logic and more.
