Today, it was announced after Dead & Company’s headlining set at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist and Grateful Dead fan LP Giobbi will bring her project Dead House for an after party at The Howlin’ Wolf. .
The event, presented by Relix, Live For Live Music, GMP Music and Purple Hat Productions, will see the blend of the Grateful Dead and electronic music from Eugene, Oregon natives. The project came about after being encouraged by Bob Weir’s manager to do a live broadcast to benefit Backline, and evolved into a Dead House DJ Set at Dead & Company’s destination event, Playing In The Sand.
$1 per ticket sold will go to Femme House, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization founded by LP Giobbi that “fosters more equal opportunities for women and gender expansive individuals in the technical and behind-the-scenes areas of We are developing the industry’s future producers, mixers, engineers, DJs, artists, and executives by providing education and scholarships, cultivating community, fostering visual representation, and leveraging our platform to amplify the voices of underserved communities.”
