James Casey Melds Music and Advocacy in Official Music Video for “New Bloom”

Ahead of the release of their studio debut full-length, The Kaua’i Project, James Casey has released the official music video for the single “New Bloom”. The song and video share a message of manifesting positivity to overcome obstacles and comes during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Initially released on March 14, the song evokes the notion that music is medicine, a central idea of ​​the acclaimed saxophonist’s refusal to let a grim diagnosis of colon cancer prevent him from making an impact in the world through through his characteristic sound and refusal to quit.

“New Bloom” and the album as a whole are the result of a year-long getaway to the remote Hawaiian island of Kaua’i, where Casey honed practices of self-discovery that took shape as light, soulful jazz saxophone mantras, soft beats. and sincere emotion.

The new music video for the single was created in support of Olympus Corporation of the Americas, a world leader in medical technology. The visual presentation offers a story of hope alongside other New York City creatives living through, and beyond, cancer as a community.
