Everything But the Girl, the duo of Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn, have shared a Four Tet remix of their recent track “Nothing Left to Lose”. Scroll down to see the song. He leads a remix EP of the track, completed by an instrumental version of the Four Tet remix and two additional mixes by Watt and Bruno Ellingham.
In a press release, Everything But the Girl said, “We’ve always loved that meditative yet propulsive thing about Kieran.” [Hebden]the music. The restraint was mixed with the impulse. It’s something we often explore as well, so asking him to rework one of our songs felt like a great option. There’s a confident lightness to his remix’s touch, backed by a raw killer beat, and a beautiful final third where all the subtle intricacies of his further production come together.”
The duo’s new album Fuse It comes out on April 21. It is the first since 1999 Moody.
