Brandi Carlile Performs Career-Spanning Solo Acoustic Show at The Capitol Theatre (A Gallery)

On February 16, Brandi Carlile made her return to the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York. The performance came on the heels of Carlile’s multiple Grammy wins, and to celebrate her milestone, the artist performed solo and acoustic, showcasing sheer quality. that she has blessed the ears of so many.

After sharing her appreciation and elation for the theater, the shy Carlile jokingly said she was opening herself up for the night and opened the show with what started it all, her debut single, “Follow.” Throughout the evening, she captured the hearts and captivated the ears of fans with contemplative lyrics, austere cadence and an unflinching display of soul “stomping and screaming” through acoustic rock and roll.

Highlights included “Broken Horses,” “The Mother,” and a combination of “I Belong to You” and “You and me on the Rock,” which he performed with his partner Catherine. Carlile also revised a few covers, including Tracy Chapman’s “The Promise,” Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend,” and a set-closing version of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You.”
