Björk Remixes Shygirl’s “Woe”: Watch the Video

Shygirl has shared Björk’s new remix of “Woe”. it appears in nymph_o, Shygirl’s 2022 album deluxe edition Nymph. It will be out on April 14 and also features Tinashe, Fatima Al Qadiri, Erika de Casier, Arca and Eartheater. Check out the Sam Ibram-directed video of Björk’s “Woe” remix below.

Of the new remix, Björk said in a statement:

Shy told me in his lyrics that he’s talking about both different love interests and fame and how suddenly everyone wants something from you and you should be excited but you’re not… and I decided to take an angle as a major “amour” . and give advice… because in “Ouch” she is asking a question and I decided to answer it from the SUFI angle which is: enjoy wanting and longing and NOT getting what you want but enjoy wanting it… how the whirling dervishes stretch when they turn it’s meant to represent that longing and being content with that…also on a more everyday personal level it’s about sometimes when you’re not satisfied in a relationship you shouldn’t wait for your partner to heal that or fix that …rather look at him as an accessory in crime or a partner who gets nowhere… Another human with that insatiable longing.

Earlier this year, Björk shared the remix of Shygirl and Sega Bodega’s “Ovule”.
